A Message From Robin Morley, President of the Sandy Beach Shag Club

Our summer at Sandy Beach Shag Club is about to begin and I hope that it will be enjoyable for our members. Our last year has been just fabulous and I hope that we continue on the same path. The board is in the process of planning our calendar and I feel sure that we will be sharing some great times.

We have a great line -up of DJ’s, so please plan to attend our monthly parties. The re-up party was a total blast and what a great success. Our membership continues to grow and our attendance at all functions has been remarkable. Judy Vic, The chairperson of ACSC recently sent a letter to each shag club encouraging them to support lounges and local clubs. The reason for the letter is that so many shag clubs have no where to dance and meet due to the economy, and expenses to the lounges and clubs. I can truthfully say how blessed we are to have the Elk’s and the relationship we have with them.

To our new members, it is a delight to have you in our club and shag family. Please feel free to share any ideas that you have. We are always looking for ways to improve. I will be asking many of the new members to come on board some of our committee’s.

Last year, we adopted the motto “United we Dance”. I absolutely love this and the reason that I do is we are, and will stay united. It is truly a pleasure being associated with such a fine group of people. Please be watching for your weekly calendar and the events in the coming weeks. The website is a great source of information. Please visit frequently and share your ideas and suggestions. The Forum is a place for us all to communicate with each other and I hope you will all sign in and use this area.

In closing, thanks to each of you for your continued support of SBSC. I feel sure that we all know how fortunate we are to have such a great group of people that constitute our shag club.
